A special day of Udon Thani

Let’s join some activities to celebrate Udon ThaNI

           That was a special day for Udon Thani, since there would be some occasions used to celebrate the 126-year Udon Thani Anniversary. This is actually annual activities Udon Thani people do. The occasion they so every year are dancing performance in front of the General HRH Prince Prachaksinlapakhom, the founder of Udon Thani town and the concert and fireworks exploding in the Nong Prajak Park. At that time, my friend from Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Moss told me there were many actors or actresses from Udon Thani dancing near with the monument. The dance was actually started around 04.00 AM in the morning. But the main activity was just begun at 09.00 AM. I went watching that dance conducting along the the street in front of the campus until the monument. The name of the monument is Krom Luang Prachaksinlapakhom. All of the dancers were wearing orange clothes with orange flowers on their heads. The reason why they wore orange clothes is bacause budha was born under a tree having orange flower. Accordingly, they always wear orange clothes tol show their respect to buddha too. The dancers were not only women but also men. This made the ambience more attractive. They were dancing on the street without using slippers. The traffic at that time was closed. Therefore, no wonders that some lecturers in UDRU could not enter the class, for the street could be passed by car or bus.

Here is the atmosphere as they thai people did dancing:

          The dance was ended around 11.30 AM. Having this activity, some of the school were closed, but the rest weren't. This one happened according to the policy of each school. For me, my school was not closed, but due to having no schedule in the morning, thus i was allowed to witness the dance. Nevertheless, i had to come back to school since there is a class at 01.00 PM. my mentor allowed me to watch that because she understood that this occasion could only happen once in a year.

 

          Under this advertisement, In that night, there would be firework festival in Nong Prajak Park. I, then accompanied by Smith, Moss, Cake, and Zidan went to Nong Prajak Park in order to watch the concert and the fireworks. Arricving in that park, we parked our vehicle at the bank of the street. We then walked around the park by ourselves. There were a lot of traders along Nong Prajak Park Street selling many kinds of thai-foods. There were also manyn people passing trough the pavements near Nong Prajak Park to do exercises like walking around the park. I didn't know why they were not tired doing that because Nong Prajak Park was in fact a very big park. I knew it for i had ever been there with my mentor at school for looking for some foods there. There was also a stage near with the lake in the park. The voice of the singers singing some songs on that stage was so beautiful.

         We had a seat on the ladder in front of that stage in order to be able to watch the fareworks closely. Before the fireworks were exploded, it was the time for the governor of Udon Thani gave some speech on the stage. It was so long in my opinion hahaha.. i am sorry becaus ei could not stand waiting too long for something i was eager to see.
Then, the fireworks came out. they were so pretty, weren't they?
